We went along to a GEAR Club meeting at the Sydney Motorsport Park recently and interviewed some of the competitors.
The GEAR (Golden Era Automobile Racing) Club is a great way to get into racing without the budget for a one-make or bigger series. The events are more like regularity runs where a time is set and the driver must be consistent to win the event. Listen to episode 148 for more details.
The drivers had a wide variety of vehicles including some home-built specials and they came from all over eastern New South Wales.
