I went down to see the racing at One Raceway near Goulburn, for the HSRCA Spring Festival, although spring hadn’t yet sprung! It was windy, cold and there was an expectation of rain during the day after an overnight downpour. The sun did come out, however didn’t do much for the temperature!
I met with the HSRCA President, Wayne Wilson, to talk about the event in general and then a great chat with Richard Caller, who has rebuilt an MGB GT Mk 2 that was wrecked in a racing accident. It was a labour of love for him.
I also spoke with Eli Solomon, racing an MG ARA Special in the Regularity events, although we diverged into racing in his home island of Singapore!
Finally I spoke with Paul Simpson in Group S who was racing a (new to him) Alfa Romeo GTV.
