This week I had the great pleasure to talk with Matthew Tosolini – the new Head of Motoring Events for the Royal Flying Doctor Service – South Eastern Section (RFDSSE).
Not only is Matthew new to the role – the role itself is new. Earlier in the year, Bill Patrick, the leader and Chief Excitement Officer of the Outback Car Trek retired and the three events that he managed were brought in-house. Matthew has taken on the role of maintaining the motoring events that bring in much needed support for the charity.
We talked about Matthew’s background, his new role and the Outback Trek – one that he has done four times using three different cars! He encourages anyone with a 30-year old car to give the Trek a go and see parts of remote Australia.
This is the first of three interviews with the RFDSSE that will be published in the coming weeks.
