February has become the traditional month for the Sydney Harbour Concours d’Elegance and I speak with the founder, James Nicholls, to get a sneak peak of the cars on show and the event structure.
We talk about the themes for each of the three days and the concours groupings from the interwar years through Italian design to James’ own version of the Ashes: Australian muscle cars versus refined grand tourers from the UK.
This year, visitors can view some of the rarest cars on the planet from McLarens, Bugattis and even a locally built Buchanan (see main image)!
The Concours will be judged by a selection of international judges – two of which are from Australia, who are making their mark on the global Concours stage.
It is scheduled to be another amazing event right in the middle of the harbour with plenty of cars and other features to tempt your tase buds!
There is a drive day on the 26th from Bennelong Gardens to Woolwich to showcase some of the road cars and the main event is the 27th to the 1st March.
