Pontiac started out as a companion brand to Oakland and the name came from another General Motors acquisition, Cartercar. They became the sports brand within the group and were lost during the Global Financial Crisis of 2008.
The MCV CH4 was named after the chemical number of the intended power source – methane. However it ended up running on good old fashioned gasoline, with one full car built. It was another failed supercar project.
Park Ward became the most common supplier of bespoke bodies to Rolls-Royce and Bentley, although they did build for other manufacturers and a few one-off cars.
