This blog is about the auto industry – not driving cars or putting up lots of photos with no text! This is not a lazy blog – as it grows, so will the interactivity.
The focus is to delve deeper into technologies, marques, important people and other topics that relate in some form to the cars of yesterday, today and tomorrow. There is a lot of change in the industry as companies find new ways to improve the whole concept of a car and I’ll be doing the research for you!
Transportation is the key to a good economy both local and global – if we can make it better, cleaner and more efficient then we will help the world.
I have a long list of topics to cover, however if you would like to suggest items or want a private conversation, then email me by clicking here.
You can follow me on Twitter and Facebook as well as finding me on Vine, YouTube, Instagram and Google+ by searching for Motoring Weekly and therealmotoringweekly on Tumblr. In April 2016, I launched the Motoring Weekly channel on Apple News for those readers who prefer that method of delivery.

About the Author
I was brought up in an engineering family with a strong influence on mechanics and machines. On my father’s side was a life of agricultural engineering building farm equipment, draining land, repairing tractors and other mechanical items. It taught me about how machines worked and the process of rebuilding them.
On my mother’s side was a lead-footed family with uncles who raced cars and bikes and a variety of gorgeous machinery to lust after when I visited the family. Along with my brother, I also raced sports cars in my youth and I am also a motorcyclist having owned four Ducati motorcycles over the past 15 years.
Although I ended up in electronic technology, I have had 7 sports cars out of the 8 cars I’ve owned. I have mostly had two seaters although the odd one out was a Jeep Wrangler that satisfied my desire to explore off road. I have been a member of several sports car clubs and am a current member of the Royal Automobile Club of Australia and the Australian Racing Drivers Club. I enjoy track days and long distance “grand touring”.
