Well, I’m back on the road again, this time for 7 days and three of those will be the 2015 Ducati Turismo. This will be the 5th Turismo I’ve done in the last 10 years and I love doing them. These runs introduce me to roads that I have continued to use because they are in the country and pass through stunning areas and ones that need our dollars to survive!
So today was a short run, only 170 kms from the north shore of Sydney, through Hornsby and the Old Pacific Highway to Gosford and then the freeway to the Hunter Link into Newcastle.
I stopped off at Frasers Newcastle to finalise the registration for the event and then refuelled and found the hotel for food, beer and sleep. In between it was great to catch up with other riders who I had met on previous Turismo runs.
Tomorrow is Day One of the official Turismo and I am adding on a few extra days of riding to enjoy this wide country. Here’s the beast, my 2010 Ducati MultiStrada outside Frasers on Lambton Road:
